Auctioneum holds regular furniture auctions selling superior quality vintage and antique furniture pieces. We have auction houses in Bristol and Bath, and bidding can be done online or in person. 

Covering Antique, Modern fine quality English and Continental Furniture and Rugs. Auctioneum's fine vintage and antique furniture department is based at our Bath auction house and has been a cornerstone of its business since the company’s formation in 2012.

Our specialist’s knowledge of period furniture in the current market has been key to the success of our auctions. We have sold antique pieces ranging from beautiful walnut and 17th century oak through to the finest mahogany, and satinwood examples of the Georgian, Regency and Victorian periods. Often included in the vintage furniture sales are hand-woven rugs and floor carpets in various sizes and materials such as silk and wool, ranging from far and middle eastern origins including Afshar, Tabriz, Ushak, Qashqai, Bokhara, Kilim and many other regions.

Auctioneum hosts four specialist furniture auctions a year; previous highlights have included a portrait by Richard Wilson for £24000, a serving table in the manner of William Kent for £19000, a still life by Alberto Morrocco for £13000, a Regency giltwood mirror for £9000, pair of Coalbrookdale benches for £7000 and an easel mirror owned by Marie Antoinette for £8500
