19TH CENTURY GRAND TOUR POMPEI LAVA CAMEO BRACELET
A 19th century Grand Tour Pompei lava cameo bracelet. The antique Grand Tour panel bracelet comprised of twelve bezel set hexagonal links of carved lava rock, from Mount Vesuvius in Italy to concealed box clasp. The bracelet having six lava rock links carved with busts of women and men, interspersed by smaller links carved with letters spelling 'POMPEI'. Unmarked, surface tests indicate gold. Measures 18.6cm. Largest link measures 1.8cm x 2.6cm. Smallest link 0.7cm x 1.8cm. Weighs 18.7g. All weights, measurements and sizes are approximate.
